RELEASE FROM LIABILITY
By submitting this application, I confirm my desire to volunteer with the Balam Foundation at its rescue center (XYZ, San Miguel De Allende, MX), foster homes, or off-site events. I understand that volunteering may involve direct contact with cats, which could result in injury, such as bites, scratches, or damage to clothing. Additionally, I acknowledge the potential for zoonotic disease transmission (e.g., ringworm, roundworm) between cats and humans.
I voluntarily assume these risks and agree not to hold the Balam Foundation, its staff, volunteers, agents, or successors liable for any injuries or damages incurred while volunteering.
I understand that the Balam Foundation staff and volunteers are instructed to avoid exposing volunteers to animals displaying aggressive or unstable behavior. However, I acknowledge that any animal, even one with a calm temperament, may react unpredictably. I will remain cautious, follow all staff instructions, and avoid actions that could provoke such behavior.
Additionally, I acknowledge that volunteering may involve exposure to cleaning agents and other potentially hazardous materials.
